Airlines have cancelled every flight scheduled for September 18 in the nearby US Virgin Islands (USVI) because fiona hurricane.

U.S. Coast Guard Closed Seaports

All USVI seaports were already shut down by the U.S. Coast Guard as of 10:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, and they will stay that way until further notice.

 Hurricane Moving Towerds Puerto Rico

Fiona is now moving northwest  Puerto Rico, with parts of the storm also making landfall on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic.

Wind Speed

The outer rainbands of the hurricane are now sweeping through the USVI; wind gusts of up to 75 mph are occurring at 45 mph.

Strom warning To Other Islands

The National Weather Service has issued a tropical storm warning for the adjacent British Virgin Islands (BVI), Turks and Caicos, and the southeast Bahamas.
