The Longwood Estate is a part of the National Register of Historic Places. The Estate includes farmland, grassland, ponds, wooded areas, and the Peconic River's beginnings.
Brookhaven Holtsville Ecology Site and Animal Preserve
There are several rescued farm animals on reserve, including goats, horses, and lamas. Ecological exhibitions and tours are occasionally provided.
Rocky Point State Pine Barrens Preserve
The park offers a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities, including hiking, biking, horseback riding, and animal viewing.
Country Fair Entertainment Park
Medford with a number of attractions is called Country Fair Entertainment Park. A driving range, laser tag field, and an 18-hole mini-golf course are available.
Smith Point County Park
The largest beachfront park in Suffolk County is Smith Point County Park. The park has a dump station and 2,293 acres of shoreline.
Splish Splash Water Park
The 96-acre Water Park features a variety of eating, retail, and water attractions. 23 water activities, including lazy rivers, drop slides for adults, and raft rides.
Blue Point Nature Preserve
Blue Point Nature Preserve is a 17-acre preserve featuring networks of nature paths and picnic areas. The open area is a great spot to view birds in the summer.
Cedar Beach Town Nature Preserve
Cedar Beach is a kid-friendly, pebbled beach with two separate beach areas, running trails, and a fishing pier area with a marina and boat launch ramps.
Southaven County Park
One of Suffolk County's first parks to welcome visitors. The park has a number of multi-use trails through the woods as well as a number of camping areas.
Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge
On the southern tip of Long Island, 2,550 acres of land, including oak-pine woods, are protected by the Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge.
